As an answer to: Them weren't BOYS!. . . them was dwarves! written by Sensitive Stephen am 22 Apr 2001 23:03:47:

There was a book written in the forties, I think, by a famous comedian. He is not well known now, and I can't remember his name. The book was a compilation of his newspaper articles over the years, generally reviews of humorous shows. His article on a Marx Brothers stage show was absolutley hilarious. He also reviewed the ciruses, and gave them bad reviews. Since he was an adult, he was accused of giving the circuses' reviews from the adult's point of view. So to counter that, he let his nine year old son write the review for the circus that year. I tried to copy the style of his son's column in my posting. His son really liked the "living statues". After I saw that, I did a little research on the subject.

As for circus boys, you can't beat the episode of "Cirque du Soleil" (Circus of the Sun) that is called, I believe, Saltbanco, or something like that. Comes on Bravo every once in a while. There is a contortionist act with a ten year old boy or so. His costume is skin tight. His package is shown in bas relief. Sometimes I wonder if it may be rather on the "rigid" side. Definitely worth a look-see, and taping with S-VHS. Has anyone seen a S-VHS VCR with a zoom function?

Got the DVD player yet? What movie will you / did you consecrate the player with?
