Wow! That is awesomely interesting. How do you come to know such arcane bits of information?
"Circus boys" have sometimes been a fantasy of mine. You know, the young boys in the acrobat family who spend their days wearing tights and hanging out with clowns.
Who here remembers "Circus of the Stars" from CBS TV? I have a videotape somewhere of the BEST LASSIE BOY EVER (you know who he is!) doing a trapeze act. Sleeveless leotard and all! He was about 14 at the time, I think.
And who remembers the Disney film "Toby Tyler." I wonder if that's available on DVD or video?
