Autographs

Has anyone else collected autographs of TV and movie boys? I have a few. I wrote and got a picture from Joey Lawrence back when he was still on "Gimme a Break". It's an adorable photo of him in that rice-bowl haircut with a form-letter message on the back but a genuine autograph...his schoolboy scrawl. The same year I also got a charming photo from Danny Pintauro, inscribed to me. The real prize of my collection, though, is Bertil Guve of "Fanny and Alexander". I read in People magazine that he liked American baseball, so I got the address of Svensk Filmindustri and wrote him a letter, sending him some baseball cards autographed by the likes of Hall of Fame players such as Nolan Ryan and Lou Brock. Of course I also told him how much I had enjoyed his appearance in the film. A few weeks later I had a wonderful reply from Bertil. He sent a hand-written letter thanking me for the cards and comments, all in beautiful English. And he sent a gorgeous photo, the same one used on movie posters and video boxes, of him and his young female co-star. It was autographed to me. What a treasure!
