I happened to catch Amazing Grace and Chuck when it was shown a couple of months ago on the "HBO Family Channel" (an excellent BL resource where available).
It's very much in the tradition of the Danish films You Are Not Alone and Friends Forever, which also fantasize about the efficacy of teen-activism.
I enjoyed it; I'd rate it good rather than great, though.
