Here are some suggestions for VHS. Foreign films include “My Father’s Glory”, “My Mother’s Castle”, “This Special Friendship”, “Acla”, “1900”, “Flight of the Innocent”, Blue Jeans”, “Ciske the Rat”, “Lakki”, “Vito & the Others”, and “Jacquot”. Semi-foreign (movies from England, I think)) – “Queen of Hearts”, “Lamb”, “The Butcher Boy”, “The Full Monty” and “A Feast at Midnite”.A few movies I would highly recommend – “The Ice Storm”, “River’s Edge”, “Parenthood”, “Bless the Beasts &Children”. A few others that are pretty good – “The Other”, “The Other Me” (Disney – Andy Lawrence & probably only on the Disney Channel), “First Kid”, “Little Man Tate”, “Men Don’t Leave”, “Milk Money”, “Avalon” (a young Elijah Wood), “Lucas”, “Clubhouse Detectives” and one of my favorite boys, Mikey LeBeau in “Playing Dangerous”.
I don’t think these were on your VHS list and I didn’t look at DVD as I don’t have a DVD player.
I’ve got more but these were some of the better ones I have in my collection. My collection is mostly taped from cable channels like HBO.
