As an answer to: John Boorman speaks out about Dan Radcliffe written by Sensitive Stephen am 05 Apr 2001 01:06:45:

I don't think I'd call being the up-and-coming biggest young star in the world a "terrible fate." It's true that the world will turn upside down for Daniel Radcliffe, who only has had a small taste of what's to come if the Harry Potter movies are as big a hit as they're predicting. But this kind of mania has hit other stars before without destroying their lives, or even their childhood. Hanson is one example, and how about Menudo-mania?

One significant error: the author says Daniel Radcliffe is 10 but actually he's about 12. Those two years can make a big difference for a boy to be more mature about facing all of this.
