Face it. Nearly all boys are super cute at that age. Stick some oversized glasses on their faces, and they are even cuter (though nerdier in a nice way). Think "Lucas" for example.
You know what I really miss, though? Them cute short tight shorts that boys used to wear in the late 70s and early 80s. Damn that hip-hop baggy fashion!!!!!!
I see on IMDb that Wil has continued as an actor, but only small parts in forgettable films. I wonder. Has he ever come out publicly as gay a la Danny P? Or is he heavily closeted, or . . . perhaps . . . one of those cute effeminate boys that everyone assumes is gay but is really interested only in females?

I saw that Ricky Schroder movie on TV a few years back. I think Patty Duke plays his mom and she hooks him up with the Big Brothers program and then there is some question of romance between the mom and the big brother. Right. As if! Anyway, I nearly choked on my pretzels when the Ricker was shown in his oh-so-tighty whities!
