Due to boychat's outage I have had the chance to watch many boy films and one I need to shout out about is "The Buddy System" which has boy actor Wil Wheaton of "Stand By Me" and Star Trek The Next Generation fame. And oh my god what a debut cause within the first five minute of the film he is featured in his underwear :-P -- OH MY!!!! It was one of three films I watched the other night that had the same theme running through it. That was boys needing and searching relationships with men. The other two were "Something So Right" with Ricky Schroder (Also featured in his underwear) and "The Burning Secret"
Basically "The Buddy System" is about a fatherless boy who begins to idolize the school security guard and tries to trap the man into a date with his mother so he can be closer to the man. Wil Wheaton is fantastic from the start to finish of this film and quite frankly the only problem I can see that is very bad for this film is trying to find a copy so you can view it since it is long out of print. Of course if you need to you could come to my house, check your Video rental places or be sure to check ebay for used copies you won't be sorry.
