Hi, Jim:

Welcome to the B.O.Y.S. forum!

Funny, another Jim -- Jimf3 -- posted about "My Own Private Idaho" just a few days ago. Seems like you Jims have some good taste in common. I've never seen that movie, so I guess I'd better rent it, even if the "boy" in it was a little long in the tooth!

I thought JGL was really cute when he was a preteen and a young teen. Thankfully, he looked younger than his age for a long while. Now I think he's twenty, so he's a good bit beyond my age of interest, but he is pretty good in that John Lithgow sitcom (although it has been around too long and has gotten kinda stale, I think).

JGL is in a new film called "Manic," which was a hit at the Sundance festival in January. No news yet as to when it will be released to ordinary theaters. Folks can find links to "Manic" and other JGL projects at the URL below.

Many cute boys turn into very handsome young men, but it's not always the rule. I think Elijah Wood has turned out to be particularly handsome, Ricky Shroder is a looker as an adult, and Fred Savage is Kennedyesque handsome. Can anyone think of a boy who started out cute, but then was butt-ugly when he was older? I mean other than Mason Reese, of course (but then I never thought he was all that cute even as a kid). I think D.G. is okay-looking as a teen, but he is pretty awkward-looking and his hair is awful! But actually that makes him look more like a real kid, right? Perhaps he'll turn out to be a knock-out yet. He used to be a 10+, but honestly I couldn't give David more than a half-hearted 6 at present.
