Aka Sirga (1993).
A moving and beautifully filmed tale of a little west african boy who forms a close relationship with a cognate lion cub.
There is some exquisite footage of his babyhood complete with dramatic shots of the lioness, cub and baby and a cobra and the baby.
When Sirga becomes older we are treated to his very skimpy loincloth-adorned body in the form of talented actor Mathurin Sinze.
Sadly he is abducted by arab slavers and sold to a mogul for a pittance. The trader extolls his great beauty though and we are forced to agree. :)
Mathurin is blessed with a wonderful lithe body and natural grace that makes his scenes with the lions all the more convincing.
Not a great film but a good film and very boy-centered.
