Bonzo I saw this film many years ago and indeed it is powerful.
It was made in black and white and given that the boy played by cherubic Ernst Hannaman is also startlingly blonde this works to strengthen the effect of his radiant beauty in contrast to the dingy prison environment.
Ernst grew up to be a noted German actor and is known as the "German James Dean."
In fact Die Konsequenz is well-known on the European Gay circuit where boylove has always been more acceptable than on its transatlantic counterpart. I saw it on German TV in the late 80's I think.
Above is a piccy of the youthful Ernst not from Konzequewnz though. I am sure if you trawled the german gay sites you will manage to find a still from DK.
Definately one to see.
