One of the links in my other message elsewhere in this thread takes you to JC's official website. OK, it's www.johnnycrawford.com. No, really! (found another one) That site shows him in his current-day bandleader role. I had not known (or had forgotten) that JC was briefly a Mouseketeer before "The Rifleman." In an interview he speculates that he had been dropped fairly quickly because he was too busy staring at Annette to learn his dance steps quickly. :o)
I think I was planning to make a point in this reply, but now I've forgotten what it was. Maybe it's because I was busy imagining JC asking Cubby for a sleepover. Talk about writing scripts in your head!
