A part of me really wishes that Kubrick was still around to have worked on "A.I.", since Kubrick was a much greater filmmaker than Speilberg will ever be...... Hell, he even made a great movie out of the late-night Skin-emax premise of "Eyes Wide Shut," for crying out loud!
Try comparing that to Speilberg, who presented an infamously inaccurate portrait of Oskar Schindler in one film, and who presents a gruesome war in "Saving Private Ryan" which only hints at the true meaning of FUBAR (something which "Full Metal Jacket" describes much more potently). And those are his two best films!
Still, the boy is cute. I can't argue with that. I'll be seeing it anyway. :-)
