John Daley goes postal on "Boston Public" tonight
JD has had a semi-regular recurring role on this TV show most of this season. He plays (what else?!?) a geeky kid who gets picked on a lot.
Judging from the TV promotions, his character in tonight's episode apparently threatens other students, suggesting that he is intending a shooting spree. My guess is that's it's just an attention-getting threat, but the show will play it up as though it were another Columbine.
I sure did love the character "Sam" he created for "Freaks and Geeks" -- awkward and geeky, of course, but sweet down to the core. I sure wish they would release the F&G episodes on DVD. I'd love to see the infamous blue-dot episode with freeze frame and superzoom! Yeah, I'm sure he had a speedo on or something when that was taped, but hey a guy can dream, can't he?!?
