as the "Movie Business" capital - whereas of course many other venues qualify as Film Production Centres.
That is to say you can buy almost anything in or from Hollywood - a bit like Wall-Mart I suppose.
But if you prefer to shop at Harrods......
Sadly in proportion to its output Hollywood does not rate highly in my book although I love many Hollywood productions - Cider House Rules, Magnolia etc spring to mind.
The junk seems to proliferate and mask the excellent stuff that is being made. I guess there is no effective quality control system - and here of course the Oscars, GG etc, fail dismally.
