I think both boys are good in this show, although the younger one ("Henry" in the show) is a lot cuter, especially in the few scenes when he appears in his short-pantsed school uniform. That clip that they show of the family dancing really is a treat. I think I heard or saw somewhere that the older boy ("Jimmy") is thirteen in real life and the younger is eight. Actually the older boy looks about eleven to me, and the younger looks more like nine. Of course, I think the show focuses way too much time on the teen daughter (does anyone remember when that actress was a little girl on the "KidSongs" show? She was just as annoying back then!), but I must admit I think it's funny when the parents go toe-to-toe with the nun who is the principal of the Catholic school that the kids attend. I kept flashing back to sitting outside Sister Theophane's office way back in second grade (and that was back in the "good old days" when kids knew that the paddle was an ultimate punishment).

The lead actor in "Grounded" (he plays "Sean," the Dad -- sorry I'm too lazy to look up his real name) made his mark in a well-received indie film called "The Tao of Steve," about a paunchy ordinary guy who had a system for talking his way into the pants of a surprisingly high percentage of women. Not that that information is something that any of US is likely to need. :o)

I also like some of the transitional bits they use during "Malcolm in the Middle," like the one of Malcolm dribbling the basketball and then smiling down into the camera, or of course any of the ones featuring the three boys. Isn't there also a dancing one involving the whole family?
