"Hope and Glory" and "Empire of the Sun"

Hulann's recent message mentioned Christian Bale and "Empire of the Sun." Amazon.com says the VHS of "Empire" is being rereleased in May. This is another film that I cannot fathom why it has not been released on DVD yet. I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I think there is a "making of Empire of the Sun" TV movie that I would hope would be included in the DVD.
Like Hulann, I really grooved on Christian Bale. I felt so bad when that handsome young actor was killed! Well, on screen anyway in "Henry V."
In my list of upcoming DVD releases down below, I realize that I also left out "Hope and Glory" (thinking about "Empire of the Sun" reminded me of it), which will be released on DVD on June 5. I already have it on preorder. I cannot recommend this film more highly. It's definitely on my top 10 list. For those who are fans of boy skin, there are some extended scenes of the main boy actor in a swim suit.
