Well, sorta anyway.

I had some free passes to a press preview of "The Tailor of Panama," which opens tomorrow. Imagine my surprise when Daniel Radcliffe shows up on the screen as Mark, the son of the title character!

Dan only has a few scenes in this film, but in one sequence he is barefoot and in shorts, and in another (at the end of the film) in short pajamas. He only has a few lines, but he was really very cute.

I would not recommend that anyone go see this movie in hopes of seeing a lot of Daniel, but if you like John Le Carre spy novels you might get some enjoyment out of it. As a film, I'd rate this as a C-, which is surprising considering that John Boorman was the director. It is uncharacteristically funny (in a sardonic and satirical sort of way), and Pierce Brosnan has a good time playing counter to his usual 007 spy role.

I don't believe Dan has done any other films. I've already seen (and enjoyed!) his performance in TV's "David Copperfield," and I've seen stills of him on the TV special of Comic Relief. Now I'll just have to wait eight and a half months to REALLY see him as Harry Potter!
