Hi all --

Oscar fever is rising fast. The awards begin in an hour. Here are my personal favorites:
Best Picture -- I saw 3 of the 5; my favorite was Traffic.
Best Director -- Steven Daldry for Billy Elliot.
Best Actor -- Javier Bardem in Before Night Falls.
Best Actress -- Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich.
Supporting Actor -- Benicio del Toro in Traffic.
Supporting Actress -- Julie Walters for Billy Elliot.

These are not predictions, just fond hopes. The closer the academy matches my picks, the happier I'll be. :-)
