I saw a screener of L.I.E. recently, courtesy of one of my highly unreliable and impeachable show-biz insider informant buddies. According to him, the producers are currently seeking a US distributor.
What lifts the film from the level of routine melodrama is the nuanced protrayal of the BL as both genuinely caring and explicitly predatory. It's a well-written rôle.
