The version offered at Columbia House is (I believe) a release published by WinStar Home Entertainment, with a retail price of $29.95, and widely available for around $20:

There is also a DVD edition from the famous Criterion Collection people, which has additional features and commentary especially for cineastes. For reasons that are not clear, that edition was apparently allowed to go out of print and was generally unavailable for a time. However, I see that it is once again listed at Pricegrabber.com:

I have not seen either of these DVDs, but I did see this film years ago on videotape. For the relatively small difference between the prices, I think I would opt for the Criterion Collection edition, but I do not think that is the one offered through the DVD club.
