Sigh. I decided not to go.

As an answer to: What did you decide? written by flyer am 17 Mar 2001 07:54:15:

Instead I did some chores around the house, and ran a few errands.

Like Moody Richard, I had gone through a long stretch of boycotting movie theaters. It's only been in the last few years that I've been in the mood to sit in a public theater again. For me, going out to a movie is not a social thing. In fact, I'd just as soon be the only person in the audience. So I tend to go in early afternoon with the retirees and other slackers. :o)

There are several THX-certified theaters in my area, and of course virtually all of them have dts, and I do enjoy good sound and audio effects. That was the only good thing about seeing the latest Star Wars installment (well, other than a boy who was easy on the eyes!).

I DID hear that the local branch of a major record store is going out of business (driven out by an even larger branch of an even MORE major record store that moved in up the block). They're having a clearance sale on everything in the store, and I think they had recently expanded their DVD section, so I'm going to check that out this weekend.

Glad you found your way back here--I guess it pays to advertise after all! If you ever lose the address of the message board, remember that the main B.O.Y.S. site is on BoyLinks and on the FPC user page as well (of course, THOSE are only accessible when Free Spirits is not warding off a major denial-of-service attack!).

See you around,

--Sensitive Stephen
