A home DVD player can be owned between $140~180. It's not that much more expensive than 4-head VCR. Go to electronic store and see for yourself. Plus, a lot of DVD now have bonus features. Besides giving you choice between Full-Frame or widescreen (as seen in theater), it has often included audio commentaries from director and actor, behind the scene footage, production stills and a lot more.
