Wow--you sure know a lot about boys in movies and TV. You're already a Ph.D., and I feel like an undergrad! Move to the head of the class!

Miguel Alejandro is new to me. I'd read about "Popi," but have never bothered to rent it. Looks like I'll have to rectify that soon.

I also had no idea Larry Fishburne (who I think is a really good actor!) was once a boy star! Since the IMDb info is based almost exclusively on data provided by members and users, it's no too surprising that there are big gaps in earlier material. I wonder if there are any other reliable sources of early performances. Does the actors union keep records, I wonder? How about the television museum in New York City? (No doubt these latter ones are not Internet accessible.) The next time I see Larry, I'll have to ask him what show that was (yeah, right! :o).

Was "Land of the Giants" the TV show about the dad and his two kids (the other one a girl around 11) who slip through a time warp or something and end up in a hidden valley with dinosaurs and aliens? I only vaguely remember that young actor, especially since he was a little old already for my tastes. I think it was revived some years later, but I don't recall if it was new actors, or just reruns of the original.

I sure hope you'll stick around and help us reminisce about other screen boys of the past.

I have fond memories of watching "Tarzan Theater" on my local TV station every Saturday morning. For years, they would rotate the same classic Johnny Sheffield . . . er, Johnny Weismuller films one after the other, occasionally throwing in one of the lesser Tarzans. The only time I would tolerate a substitution was on the rare occasions when they would run "Tarzan and the Jungle Boy," featuring the ever-scrumptious Steve Bond (who was, interestingly enough, a young Israeli actor!). I wonder when they'll get around to releasing the better Tarzan movies on DVD?

Welcome to B.O.Y.S., Spencer!
