Those of you who do buy at Amazon.com probably already know that they have an "Outlet Center" on their DVD and VHS pages. Starting this week, they are having a one-day sale each Friday, with further markdowns on selected titles. Most of these films are duds, obviously, and it's not too likely to find boy movies among them. However, it might be worth monitoring in case the occasional rarity does pop up.

There is also an Amazon.com link for rare and used videos. It might be worth looking there for any out-of-print titles that might be worth the risk buying as used. For now, it seems that virtually all of it is VHS, but I would guess that used DVDs are coming soon. I'd feel more comfortable buying a used disk than a used tape, if a new copy is not available.

There are also new bargain VHS titles on a separate page, for instance "The Client" with Brad Renfro for under ten dollars. I wish they would release "The Client" on DVD and include all the scenes they cut before the theatrical release. Does anyone else remember the trailer (shown on TV and in theaters) showing scenes of Brad Renfro running shirtless through a cornfield, as if being pursued? I was SO disappointed that the scene was not actually in the film! Maybe eventually on DVD?
