If the link below works okay, you can follow it to see a list of order policies of Amazon.com. The most important ones are the "privacy policy," the "Amazon.com customer bill of rights," and the "methods of payment."

I reviewed those first two, albeit quickly, and I don't really see any cause for concern. Of course, everyone else must assess his own comfort level with risks of this type. Since the merchandise sold through Amazon is neither illegal nor pornographic, I don't see any great risk in ordering from them. I'd be curious to know what had changed in the privacy policy that makes it seen as being riskier now than it was previously.

I wonder if maybe we should put together some guidelines for "safe movie buying," such as

"The Paranoid Pervert's Program for Procuring Pulchitrudinous Programs"

Yeah, I don't think Pulchitrudinous is really a word, either. I'll look it up later.

What strategies can the more paranoid among us use to obtain boy videos without leaving much of a trace? Drawing from the always-wise Poor Farang's response, here are a few of the more obvious, plus a few new ideas:

* Buy vids directly from a retail store that stocks them, paying in cash.

* When you ask a retail store to order an item, give a false name and then pay in cash when you receive the order.

* Get a less-paranoid friend to buy your smut, er . . . I mean fine art films for you.

* Set up a fake-ID account with the online service of your choice, which can be used for browsing and getting recommendations. If you order, choose the payment option to send in a money order (see link for Amazon.com details). This takes longer but is safer. Have the delivery sent to a friend, or to a P.O. box or a mail collection service (like a local drug store or Mail Boxes Etc.).

Who else has some ideas for obtaining boy vids without leaving a clear trace?
