That's interesting news about Amazon.com. I did not know about any changes to their privacy policy.
The main reason why I provide links to Amazon.com is because they are pretty good about providing descriptive info, reviews, image scans of the case, etc., plus links to other similar items. But, frankly, I would probably seldom buy from Amazon. If you follow the Pricegrabber.com links (at least, you users in North America), there are invariably other online vendors who charge less than Amazon.
I'm not the sort of person who would worry that Amazon would somehow build up a profile based on my purchases showing that I'm a danger to the community and turning me in. However, other people DO worry about that sort of thing, so it's important that they know what risks they may be incurring.
