As an answer to: Firewire versus USB written by Sensitive Stephen am 05 Jun 2001 16:48:51:

SS,

The Dazzle system will capture video and stills. The firewire version that I saw had the card and all you needed to install it. My old system didn't have USB and I bought a card and dropped it in and Win ME installed the drivers without any problems.

As was answered, firewire is the best way to go and you don't have to buy a new system unless you are trying to justify it to Mrs. SS. :P

The Dazzle system deals with the video input and is really not a tunner. I figured you would record the stuff you wanted on VHS and transfer it and be creative with it. :)

There is a new USB standard out for higher speed but it still doesn't compare to 1394 (firewire).
