One realises just how much the Internet has liberated boylovers when you consider that boy actors from before 1994 (or so) were never raved about in quite the way that those post '94 have been.

My first contact with online bls was in the "afti-cafe" IRC chat room in the early 90s.

Anyway today I want to mention neil Patrick Harris - for me this lad was over the hill when he played Doogie Houser M. D. but was very good in Cold Sassy Tree (1989) and Clara's Heart (1988).

The above piccy comes from Clara's Heart which I have also seen but I enjoyed his strong performance on Cold Sassy last night. Playing the only male child in an all female southern family in the 1920's Will Tweedie has to cope with a lot of nonsense from his aunt's etc. His grandfather, played well by Richard Widmark comes to rely on Will as do the other more intelligent members of a rather headstrong family.

Next to the grandfather (& his new wife played by Faye Dunaway)Will's is the most prominent role with a very pleasing subplot on the theme of adolescent romance and loneliness.

Its a sleepy lazy film, not one to grab you by the balls. But such filmds have their place as well imho.
