That's better. A few hints is all it takes for me quickly to learn that Tommy Rettig also appeared in 1953's So Big, which was based the popular novel by Edna Ferber, a member of the Algonquin Round Table.
Tommy went on to become Tom Rettig, a respected pioneer in personal-computer data-base software. His sudden death in 1996 shocked millions of his fans, but also thousands of computer professionals who never knew of his earlier acting career.
Tommy is best remembered for his rôle as Jeff in the TV series Lassie, where his dazzling looks and inspired acting* have solidified his reputation among those with artistic sensibilities and critical discernment as the Lassie boy.
