It's all installed and booming out the surround sound

As an answer to: I haven't seen that one written by boyBooster am 25 May 2001 04:22:16:

Thanks for asking.

All the components I chose have so far met or exceeded my expectations. I got one of those NUON chip-equipped DVD players, and it has a really great 16X zoom function with little loss in resolution as you zoom in. The surround sound is working great, and I haven't even taken the time yet to tinker with all the many adjustments for optimal effects.

The weak link is my TV, which is an older-model standard-resolution TV set. I'm lusting after the new high-definition, flat screen digital-ready monitors, but I ain't got an extra two grand to spend at the moment. Maybe by this time next year they will have come down a lot in price and I'll have saved up enough -- that is, if I don't stop buying DVDs left and right!!!

I figure I'll enjoy the DVD player and the state-of-the-art sound for now, and then it'll feel like a whole new system when I get around to upgrading the monitor. I'm planning on living a long, long time.
